Leslie holds a master's degree in counseling and education. She has a bachelor's degree in biology and physical education and is secondary teacher certified in Alaska to teach biology, physical education, and special education. She also holds American Council on Exercise national certificates in personal training, group training, and lifestyle and weight management. She is a black belt in Kung Fu martial arts.

Leslie has 26 years of teaching and personal training experience and has worked with
people aged 2 years to 85 years old.

She is an adjunct professor at the University of Alaska Anchorage in the health and
physical education department and has taught a variety of courses including Leadership
in Fitness Activities and Weight Lifting. She has also taught cancer survivor classes,
skiing classes, and is a local wellness speaker at group events in Anchorage. Leslie
enjoys many fitness activities and most enjoys helping people find the spark to improve
their fitness level and giving them the guidance they need to change.
