Wellness Break is a free half-day event brought to you by WIN for
Alaska—your Health In Action Team. We offer blood cholesterol and
glucose screenings, chair massage (many locations), healthy snacks, a wellness walk, and presentations. The format lets invitees drop in and out
or stay for the whole event.
NEW! Available in May, Wellness Checks. A free department-requested biometric screening (blood pressure, body composition analysis, cholesterol/glucose) event. Look for details coming soon.
Challenge—Keep Your Kids Safe
April 26 - May 4 is Safe Kids Week
In 2006, an average of 17 children died per day in the U.S. in one summer—a deadly time of year for children. Alaska ranks the second highest in the nation for accidental injury death of children between May and August.
In April, visit Safe Kids USA and earn 10 points in HAT.
