Keep up the good work

In August, we will award the three-month prizes for the folks who started tracking points in May (this is the final group to get a three-month prize). We'll also award six-month prizes to those who started the program in February.

For those working toward earning the GPS (2,700 points earned in six consecutive months ending before Nov 1, 2008), the make and model has been determined. Check it out.

Check the links below for prize details.

Only UA staff/faculty are eligible to receive prizes.

August Challenge—Recreation
Balance sedentary recreation with physical activity

A new study has found that even if you exercise
regularly, spending a lot of time being sedentary—for
example, watching TV or using the Internet—can increase
your risk for serious health problems.

August Challenge: limit your computer and TV time to one hour on weekdays (no more than two on weekends) and spend time in outdoor activity on at least 22 days this month. Earn 20 points in HAT. Download Wellness Challenge Worksheet.
