Anchorage: YogaFit
Join UA Health in Action for YogaFit on Tuesdays from 12:00 - 12:45pm in Room 111, Rasmuson Hall, February 9 - April 27.

Yoga Registration

YogaFit increases the participant’s flexibility and strength while helping to reduce stress by encouraging proper breathing. No prior yoga experience is needed to participate. The class is taught on the floor and participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. All UAA faculty and staff members are invited to participate.


Anchorage: Pilates
Join UA Health in Action for Pilates on Wednesdays, January 13 - April 28. Select from two available class times:
1:15 - 2:00pm | Room 209, Eugene Short Hall
4:15 - 5:00pm | Room 216, Eugene Short Hall

Pilates is core strength training done on the floor to help tone muscle, increase circulation, relieve stress, increase strength and flexibility, and improve overall mobility and precision of body movement. The class is taught on the floor and participants are encouraged to bring a yoga mat and wear comfortable clothing. All UAA faculty and staff members are invited to participate.


Anchorage: Cross-Country Skiing
Back by popular demand, cross-country skiing classes will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesdays, January 26 - March 2. Meet at the Fine Arts Building entrance for a 45 min tour out to Goose Lake and back. Along the way you will learn about gear, waxing, training, and technique. All skill levels (classic and skating) are welcome. You must supply your own gear. The Student Union Outdoor Rec Center rents ski equipment.

Fairbanks: Modified Tai Chi
Join UA Health in Action for Modified Tai Chi, beginning January 5, on Tuesdays from 12:15 - 12:45pm in the IARC Lobby.

Tai Chi is designed to release stress, stimulate circulation, increase flexibility, and improve balance. No experience or equipment is required. All UAF faculty and staff members are invited to participate.
