Donate Blood
Facts about donating blood:
• Every minute of every day, someone needs blood. That blood can only come from a volunteer donor, a person like you who makes the choice to donate.
• Giving blood takes only a short time. Approximately 1 hour includes registration, pre-donation health screening, drawing blood and a snack/rest period afterward.
• Every donated pint of blood can help 3-4 people.
• You CANNOT get AIDS or any other infectious disease from the act of donating blood. Equipment used to collect blood comes prepackaged and sterile; it is used just once and then properly disposed.
The GTP Tracking System can be used year-round to record your healthful habits and activity. However, you only earn rewards during an incentive campaign. The next GTP incentive campaign starts February 2010. |
