My background in health and wellness….
Health and fitness has always been an interest of mine. As an athlete, I discovered the delicate balance between nutrition, rest and performance. Then as a coach, I discovered how educating others and providing a knowledge base for incorporating nutrition and healthful activities was very rewarding.
How I view health…..
Like others, I have struggled with trying to balance my personal life, with work and other demands. I frequently failed to practice what I preached.
It is when I attended an instructor-training course that I rediscovered myself through yoga. I was concerned about my physical condition after some major health issues, and recovery time without activity. However, I seemed to find an inner-self that had been waiting to come out and started to regain a healthy life status.
With renewed enthusiasm, I am excited to be given the opportunity to help others find their healthy inner-self. I believe that health and fitness involves a combination of our physical, spiritual and mental well-being. Sometimes we may just need a little guidance to get started, along with some help to stay on course.
I also believe that reducing stress is critical to health and well-being. A balanced exercise and nutrition plan can help reduce stress and increase energy to better equip you with the challenges of daily life.
