UAS Family Fitness Fun Day
Mark your calendar for Saturday, Oct 4

Family Fitness Fun Day is coming to Juneau, Saturday, October 4, from 11 am - 1 pm at the Rec Center. Grab your kids, sweetie, and whomever else you like to have fun with, and attend this event.

Family Fitness Fun Day will be the semester kick-off for the Rec Center's weekly family gym time. Come on October 4th for fun, games, and prizes, and check out the Rec Center's new fitness equipment.

A personal event invitation to Juneau staff/faculty will arrive by email September 17. RSVP by September 25.

We offer blood cholesterol and glucose screenings, chair massage (available in many UA locations), healthy snacks, a wellness walk, and mini-presentations. Wellness Breaks scheduled for October and later will have new presentations to choose from.

Recognizing university staff/faculty

In early May, Doug Maynes of UAF completed the Buffalo Duathlon on Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake. The sprint course consisted of a 5k run and a 12.5 mile bike race.

Mona Yarnall Hall of UAS help Juneau defend its previous Capital Cup tennis title against Whitehorse, which was last awarded in 2000. Read article in Whitehorse Daily Star.
