My background in health and wellness….
I have been involved in sports and fitness since I was eight years old. Fitness has always been a passion of mine, but just like many other people, I have had obstacles. Injuries, weight gain and simple lack of motivation have often hindered my journey in making positive, healthful lifestyle decisions. Through it all, my love for sports and fitness has helped me to stay resolute, regimented and dedicated. Not only am I active inside the gym, but I also enjoy outdoor activities such as cycling, hiking and paddle boarding. And let’s not forget that I love to eat healthfully!
My experience as a wellness consultant, personal trainer and group exercise instructor has allowed me to be an effective coach and provide unconditional support and motivation to my students and clients. Fitness is a way of life and should be a routine, just like waking up in the morning and brushing your teeth. Keeping your mind and body healthy and in sync is vital to good health.
Remember, there will be obstacles. The most challenging part of overcoming those obstacles is to believe in yourself and know that you can succeed.
Heidi’s tips for achieving a healthy lifestyle:
1. Challenge yourself.
2. Develop and set achievable goals.
3. Participate in activities that you love.
4. Eat clean.
5. Drink lots of water.
6. Balance your workouts with strength, cardiovascular and flexibility.
7. Find support and support others with health and wellness goals.
8. Don’t be afraid to try new activities.
9. Realize that small healthful lifestyle changes add up.
10. Believe in yourself.
