Blood Pressure
Coffee is one of the most popular beverages in the world. It has been studied in relation to health for many years, but health results have been inconclusive. Recently, a group of researchers in Finland studied the coffee drinking habits of nearly 25,000 people for a period of 13 years to see who would develop high blood pressure. The research found that those who drank even 2-3 cups of coffee daily developed high blood pressure needing treatment at a significantly higher rate (29% increase) than did those who never drank coffee or who drank no more than 1 cup daily. 
If you are interested in preventing high blood pressure and choose to drink coffee, limit yourself to no more than 1 cup
a day. In addition, keep physically active, maintain a healthy
weight, limit alcohol intake, eat
an abundance of fruits and vegetables, and limit your sodium
(salt) intake.
