June Get the Point Health Focus
Wear your helmet
June is Brain Awareness Month and parents are being reminded of the importance of helmet safety. Helmet use is the best way to reduce bicycle head injuries and fatalities from crashes. So whether you are bike riding, skiing, rollerblading, motorcycle riding or engaging in other outdoor activities, to help prevent spinal cord, head and neck injuries you are encouraged to wear a helmet.
This month, wear your helmet during outdoor activities for 25+ days and enter your information in the GTP Tracking System to receive 25 points.
• Safety/Health Decisions: "Wore my helmet during outdoor activity" (15 points)
• Wellness Events: "Personal Wellness: Participated in this month’s Health Focus on the Health Link" (10 points)
Only UA Health Plan eligible employees are eligible for prizes.
The GTP Tracking System can be used throughout the year to record your healthful habits and activity. Rewards can be earned during the annual Get the Point Incentive Campaign period between February and July.
